We have several areas of the restaurant that can be used for receptions.
In order to reserve the east dining room for a morning or afternoon
reception we require that you spend a minimum of $300 during the day
and $500 during the evening before tax and tip. With tablecloths and
balloons, the patio can be a wonderful place for your reception. (No
patio spending requirement). We require
a $100 deposit which is refunded provided you meet minimum spending
requirements and don't cancel within 30 days of your event date. In December we increase the
spending requirements to $400 during the day and $700 during the evening
before tax and tip.
We can either offer a plated meal or a cocktail/hors d'oeuvres style
meal for your guests.
Hors d' Oeuvres
If you are having your reception later in the afternoon, hors
d'oeuvres might provide the perfect option. Your guests might not
be hungry enough for a full meal at this time of day.
When you look at the hors d'oeuvres list everything is priced
by the person. For example, if you order fresh fruit and dip for 25,
we make a silver tray with enough fruit for 25 guests.
With bridal and baby showers we have found that it is better to
stick to lighter fare such as fresh fruit and dip, mini quiche squares,
deviled eggs, hot artichoke dip, assorted finger sandwiches, and rum
We recommend that you order a wide variety of selections from
the hors d'oeuvres menu. If you are on a budget you might order several
items for fewer guests than you expect.. For example, if you have
40 guests, you might order eight trays, some for 30 and some for 25.
With a wider variety of choices, your guests are bound to find something
that they like.

For groups greater than 15, we require limiting the menu to insure
the best service for your party and other guests in the restaurant.
When limiting the menu, we suggest that you narrow the choices to
three or four items. During the lunch time, our most popular dishes
are the Chicken Crepes, the Chicken Supreme Sandwich, the Chicken
Salad and the Chicken Caesar Salad. Although it is not on the menu,
we can offer a savory quiche served with a baked apple if you decide
to serve it to everyone. We can fill the quiche with the ingredients
of your choosing and serve it with salad for $8.95 per person. If
you are wanting to choose a lighter selection for your guests, we
can serve hors d'oeuvres instead of a sit down meal.
We print a limited menu for each place setting with your specified
menu items on it. Please let us know if you would like a brief personalized
message placed at the top of the menu.
We can offer anything from a full open bar to a cash bar where everyone
pays for their own drinks. An option is imiting what the host provides
to perhaps house wine and domestic beer and having everything else as
We can offer wine by the bottle, glass or carafe. Our house wine
is $19.00 by the carafe and serves about 7-9 glasses. We have Cabernet
Sauvignon, Chardonnay, White Zinfandel, and Merlot house wine. All of
the wines that we sell by the glass can also be sold by the bottle.
We can do a champagne toast in either a 3-ounce toasting glass or
a 7-ounce tulip. Our house champagne is Cook's Brut Champagne and is
sold for $16.00 per bottle. One bottle will serve either ten-twelve
3-ounce glasses or five 7-ounce glasses.
All of our desserts are $5.95 per serving and we can offer a varied
selection. Usually we will offer one cake, one chocolate dessert, a
fruit dessert and perhaps a cheesecake. Of course if there are any particular
desserts that you want offered, just let us know with at least one week's
advance notice. If you would like to pick the same two-layer cake for
everyone in your group, we can offer it for $3.50. Our most popular
cakes are the Lemon Cream Cake and the Chocolate Amaretto Cream Cake,
but we have several other options to choose from. Once again, we do
need at least a week's advance notice to prepare your cakes for you.

If you are offering hors d'oeuvres, we would recommend choosing
an assorted tray for desserts. Cookies, small brownies, and rum cake
slices are easy to manage at a cocktail style reception.
Every table in our east dining room is covered with a white starched
cotton tablecloths and a bud vase of fresh flowers. We can put tablecloths
on tables in the main dining room if you like. We can provide balloons
for a fee. Feel free to bring in any decorations that you like. We do
ask that you not bring confetti or rice. Thank you for considering Legend's
